Haakon’s Hall NYC Dedicated to Community and Service to it:
Community Gardens: In conjunction with Community Board 9 and the Anthony Borelli of the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, Haakon’s Hall NYC is dedicated to revitalizing the Morningside Heights & Columbia neighborhood. This partnership will allow Haakon’s Hall NYC to revitalize the lot adjacent to Haakon's Hall, on 1187 Amsterdam Avenue, and transforming it into a community project for the local elementary schools, with the intent of teaching the students how to plant vegetables, fruits, and flowers for the betterment of the Morningside Heights Community in Harlem. The fruits of their labor & knowledge would be fulfilled by donating the produce grown in the community garden to local food banks, the elderly, and the disenfranchised populace of the neighborhood.
Donations to local, national, and international Charitable organizations. Haakon’s Hall NYC is committed to extending hospitality beyond the walls of its restaurant by donating its food and resources to the charitable foundations listed below. As a courtesy to them, we encourage our patrons to “pay it forward” as we are hyperlinking their websites below:
